APLUXOR Marine Electrical Library

Boat Electrical — The Owner’s Desk Reference

12 and 24 V DC in full, and AC aboard as far as safety requires.

From symptom to a verified fix on your own boat.

The book is for boat owners who want to understand their boat’s electrical system well enough to make sound calls about it, whether they do the work themselves or have it done. The parts run in order of risk: what can hurt someone or start a fire comes first.

It is written from the field, out of years of hands-on electrical work that includes superyacht builds at Delta Marine. Experience decides what goes in. The sources decide every number: each one is traced to ABYC, USCG 33 CFR, ISO or the manufacturer’s manual.

APLUXOR is the imprint behind the series. The book is free to read and is released in numbered versions; new chapters and corrections arrive as a new version.

How it is written

  • Every number is traced to a standard or a manufacturer’s manual before it goes in.
  • A fact audit checks each claim against its source.
  • A standards audit and a diagram audit follow, separately, for every chapter.
  • A chapter is released only after all three audits, as a new version of the book.

In progress: the English master edition, chapter by chapter. Planned: a paid continuation of 14 modules, including yearbooks, and an iPhone app, Boat Electrical by APLUXOR.
